1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives wish to
3 congratulate White Eagle Elementary School on being recognized
4 as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education;
5 and

6     WHEREAS, The National Blue Ribbon Schools program
7 recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high
8 schools where students perform at very high levels or where
9 significant improvements are being made in students' levels of
10 academic achievement; a National Blue Ribbon Schools flag
11 waving overhead has become a trademark of excellence and a
12 symbol of quality recognized by everyone from parents to
13 policy-makers in thousands of communities; and

14     WHEREAS, White Eagle Elementary School is in Indian Prairie
15 School District 204 and was founded in 1995; its mascot is the
16 wolf; and

17     WHEREAS, The principal of White Eagle Elementary School is
18 Jon Vogel; and

19     WHEREAS, The celebration for White Eagle Elementary School
20 is November 20, 2012; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we congratulate White Eagle Elementary School on being named a
4 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; and be
5 it further

6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to White Eagle Elementary School as a symbol of our
8 respect and esteem.
