SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy Hogan of Girard, who passed away on March 27, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was born to Alfred and Adelta (Turner) Stauffer in Springfield on March 4, 1947; she married Gary Hogan on February 22, 1985; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was the cook of the family; she loved spending time at home with her grandchildren; she also enjoyed camping and shopping; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan will be remembered for her generous spirit and always putting the needs of others before herself; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Anthony Evans; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan is survived by her husband; her daughters, Lori (Brian) Dodd and Angie Evans; her grandchildren, Sarah (Bryan) Hopkins, Jason King, and Jessica (Daniel) Moreth; her 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gary (Barb) Stauffer; and her numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nancy Hogan and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Hogan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
