| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of William "Bill" Maniscalco of | 4 | | Palatine, who passed away on November 19, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco was born in Chicago in 1944; he | 6 | | served in the Air Force National Guard as a teletype | 7 | | technician; he married Josephine "Josie" Maniscalco on May 7, | 8 | | 1966; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco and his brother John took the | 10 | | helm of the business previously owned by their father, | 11 | | Mid-City Paving, and the business thrived under their 35 years | 12 | | of leadership; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, In his retirement, Bill Maniscalco enjoyed | 14 | | golfing, rooting for the White Sox, cooking pasta and pizza, | 15 | | and traveling with his family; he loved his country and family | 16 | | fiercely; he was known to many as "Papa" and loved nothing more | 17 | | than being surrounded by his family; his sense of humor | 18 | | brought warmth, comfort, and laughter to every room he | 19 | | entered; he was a shining example of a loving son, father, | 20 | | grandfather, husband, and friend; he stayed close to his | 21 | | childhood friends and spent time with them weekly for 70 | 22 | | years; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Maniscalco; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco is survived by his wife; his | 4 | | children, William (Wendi) and Anthony (Brandi) Maniscalco; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Allison, William, Dominic, Aidan, Olivia, Lily, | 6 | | and Chase; his siblings, John Maniscalco and Francene (Ken) | 7 | | Rosenkrans; and many other relatives; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 10 | | William "Bill" Maniscalco and extend our sincere
condolences | 11 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be | 12 | | it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 14 | | presented to the family of Bill Maniscalco as an expression of
| 15 | | our deepest sympathy.
