SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Susan Ann (Nichols) Lindberg, who
4passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 74; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was a creative genius who acted,
6directed, choreographed, danced, and wrote professionally; she
7was a founding member of the community theater group Oak Park
8Musical Theatre (OPMT); and
 
9    WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was dedicated to Oak Park School
10District 97, and she developed and oversaw the Integrated Arts
11Program at Emerson/Brooks Middle School; she also directed the
12Children's Theatre for Village Players; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg spent her post-retirement years
14giving tours at Ernest Hemingway's birthplace; her final
15acting roles were as Emma Goldman and Grace Hall Hemingway;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was an aficionado of Cary Grant
18movies; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was preceded in death by her
20parents, Robert and Rosetta Nichols; her siblings, Robert E.

1Nichols Jr. and Gail Esposito; and her husband, Roger
2Lindberg; and
 
3    WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Susan Lindberg was
4survived by her children, Eric Lindberg and Kate
5Lindberg-Vazquez (Myrna Vazquez), and her grandson, Matheos;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Susan Ann (Nichols) Lindberg and extend our sincere
10condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
11her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Susan Lindberg as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
