SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Theodore C. "Ted" Wink of Lynn Center,
4who passed away on July 16, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ted Wink was born in Monticello, Iowa to Eugene
6and Hermina (Cordes) Wink on June 23, 1949; he married Marilu
7Clement in Ashland, Kentucky on October 15, 1969; he served in
8the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ted Wink was a correctional officer at the East
10Moline Correctional Center for 20 years, and he retired in
112001; he also served as the township supervisor for Lynn
12Township; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ted Wink was a member of the First Baptist Church
14in Orion; he was a private pilot and a member of the
15Experimental Aircraft Association; he enjoyed flying,
16woodworking, and attending his grandchildren's events; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ted Wink was preceded in death by his parents and
18his brothers, Archie Wink and Marvin Wink; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ted Wink is survived by his wife, Marilu; his
20children, Janice (Stewart) Klink, Todd (Missy) Wink, Craig

1(Jessica) Wink, and Tulisa (Jason) Bollinger; his 10
2grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and his sisters,
3Mariane First and Sandi VonBehren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Theodore C. "Ted" Wink and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Ted Wink as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
