SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Adolf "Chris" Schnepple of Silvis, who passed away on May 21, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Chris Schnepple was born to Adolf G. and Barbara (Stotz) Schnepple in Moline on May 24, 1932; he was a U.S. veteran who served in Korea; he married Nancy J. Johnson in Moline on October 5, 1957, and she preceded him in death in 1981; he married Linda Rosenstiel in Silvis on April 25, 1998, and she preceded him in death in 2011; and

WHEREAS, Chris Schnepple worked as a plumber for 45 years with Allison and Albrecht and later with Rock Island Plumbing; and

WHEREAS, Chris Schnepple was a member of Local 25 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters union and the Silvis Eagles and a lifetime member of the Moline VFW; he was also a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church in Silvis; and

WHEREAS, Chris Schnepple was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; and his second wife; and

WHEREAS, Chris Schnepple is survived by his children, James (Becky) Schnepple, Barb Schnepple, Linda (Mark) Belman, and Sue Zimmer; his eight grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; his stepson, Robbie Gresham; his two step-grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna; and his sister, Anna Donahue; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Adolf "Chris" Schnepple and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chris Schnepple as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
