SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bobby "Bob" Ray Cravens of Rock
4Island, who passed away on November 24, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bobby Cravens was born to Otis and Dorothy
6"Dollie" McRoy Cravens in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 23,
71949; he was drafted into the U.S. Army when he turned 18 and
8served two years in Vietnam; he married Cheryl Jeffrey in Rock
9Island on September 3rd, 2005; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bobby Cravens first worked for the City of Rock
11Island; he then worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on
12the Mississippi River for 28 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bobby Cravens was an avid Harley Davidson rider
14who traveled many miles down the highways with his friends and
15family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Bobby Cravens was preceded in death by his
17parents; his twin sisters, Fran and Freida; and his son, Cody
18Ray Cravens; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bobby Cravens is survived by his wife; his
20children, Kenyon (Tracey) Shepard, Ranae Roberts, Nanette

1Shepard, Kandi (Bill) Walker, Carissa (Jon) Hanson, Jeremy
2(Kelly) Jeffrey, and James Jeffrey; and his several
3grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Bobby "Bob" Ray Cravens and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bobby Cravens as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
