SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Michael J. "Mike" Sullivan of Moline,
4who passed away on September 19, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Sullivan was born in Multnomah County,
6Oregon to Alice "Arlyne" Lear on January 3, 1945; he served in
7the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and married Teresa
8Meegan in East Moline on February 28, 2009; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mike Sullivan retired from the John Deere Foundry
10in East Moline on March 1, 1994 and later retired from the
11Moline Housing Authority in 2010; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mike Sullivan enjoyed gambling, golfing, art, and
13Corvettes; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mike Sullivan was preceded in death by his
15sisters, Marilyn Wolf and Marlene Pierce; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mike Sullivan is survived by his wife, Teresa;
17his children, Tara (Bob) DeBlaey and Shawn (Laura) Sullivan;
18his grandchildren, Sara (Mike) Serbanoiu, Ian Sullivan, Cole
19(Hanah) DeBlaey, Caitlin DeBlaey, and Carson DeBlaey; his
20great-grandson, Knox DeBlaey; his father-in-law and

1mother-in-law, Tom and Teresa Meegan; his sister-in-law, Tammy
2Pauwels; his brother-in-law, Tom Meegan; his special niece and
3nephew, Amanda and Andrew Meegan; and his beloved dog, Dinky;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Michael J. "Mike" Sullivan and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Mike Sullivan as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
