SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald Lee "Don" Jaques Jr. of Moline, who passed away on June 23, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Don Jaques was born to Donald Lee Sr. and Marion Joyce (Pearsall) Jaques in Moline on April 24, 1948; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge among other commendations; and

WHEREAS, Don Jaques was a hair stylist for over 30 years, most notably working at the Bear's Den in Rock Island; and

WHEREAS, Don Jaques enjoyed playing darts and golfing; he loved music, and he played guitarrums and traveled with a band for several years; and

WHEREAS, Don Jaques was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Don Jaques is survived by his children, Paul Jaques, Keven Jaques, Sheena Marie Jaques, and Zackery Jaques; his 11 grandchildren; his great-grandson; and his siblings, Lona Jaques, Rick (Vickie) Comins, and Jimmy (Marion) Comins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald Lee "Don" Jaques Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Don Jaques as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
