SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Janet N. Rarick of Troy, who passed away
4on March 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janet Rarick was born in Granite City on February
619, 1940 to Dr. Emanuel Morris and Margaret (nee Beck)
7Arnovitz; she graduated from Monticello Preparatory School in
8Godfrey in 1958 and attended Washington University in St. Louis
9and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville; she married
10Philip J. Rarick, III on February 1, 1962; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Janet Rarick was a long-time art teacher at St.
12Peter & Paul Catholic School in Collinsville; she also worked
13as a medical assistant for Dr. Claud Carmichael for over 20
14years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Janet Rarick was a member of St. Jerome Catholic
16Church in Troy and enjoyed spending time with her family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Janet Rarick was preceded in death by her son,
18Philip J. "P.J." Rarick, and by her parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Janet Rarick is survived by her husband, Philip;
20her granddaughter, Katlyn Elizabeth Rarick; her sisters,

1Eleanore (Thomas) Shulman and Jane (Donald) Alch; and her
2daughter-in-law and her daughter, Mary Carolyn Rarick and
3Gracie; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Janet N. Rarick, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Janet Rarick as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
