SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald J. Kress of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 22, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kress was born to Frank and Viola (nee Conner) Kress; he married Bonnie Nielsen on October 28, 1960; he served his country in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kress retired from FedEx after 27 years as a District Director of the Chicago-Metro District; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kress enjoyed planning vacations for his family, golfing, and playing blackjack on his boat; his favorite holiday was Christmas, which exemplified his generous spirit; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kress was the father of Robert (Melissa) and Jennifer Kress; grandfather of Kristen and Kaylen Kress, Jesse Perez, and Beau Kolba; brother of Roy (Evelyn) Hungate, Debbie Pierson, Lola Garza, William Dame, Nancy Dame, Ralph (Eva) Pinkonsly, and Bob (Doris) Swanson; and uncle to many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald J. Kress, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Kress as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
