SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter E. Schultz of McHenry, who passed
4away on January 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was born in Joliet on September 24,
61944 to Walter E. and Geraldine J. (nee Breen) Schultz; he
7graduated from Richmond High School and married Kathleen L.
8Smith at St. Patrick Church in McHenry on September 18, 1965;
9he served in the United States Army in Korea and settled in
10McHenry in 1967; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was employed by Modine, Grafon,
12Osgood, and Abbott, where he was responsible for the
13development of machinery; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was a member of the McHenry Country
15Club, where joined the hole-in-one club after achieving the
16feat on the 18th hole; in addition to golf, he enjoyed
17traveling, caring for his lawn and garden, entertaining, and
18pairing great wines with great recipes; he was a longtime
19member of St. Patrick Church; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was preceded in death by his
21father; and

1    WHEREAS, Walter Schultz is survived by his wife of 48
2years, Kathleen; his children, Keith (Angela Kollenkark)
3Schultz and Wendy (Scott) Richardson; his mother, Geraldine
4Schultz; his brothers, David (the late Amy) Schultz, Stephen
5Schultz, and Gregory (Ann) Schultz; and his sister, Janis
6Schultz; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Walter E. Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Walter Schultz as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
