SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank A. Mansfield of Harvard, who passed away on January 3, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Frank Mansfield was born on January 22, 1944 in Woodstock; his parents were Robert and Harriet (nee Carr) Mansfield; and

WHEREAS, Frank Mansfield served as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he was a recipient of a Purple Heart for his service; and

WHEREAS, Frank Mansfield worked for many years as a farmer; he also worked as an electrician for Blue Ribbon Electric in Harvard and worked for H & E Sod Nursery; and

WHEREAS, Frank Mansfield enjoyed riding his motorcycle; and

WHEREAS, Frank Mansfield is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Kim (Skip) Garlick and Shawn (Anne) Mansfield; his grandchildren, Dalton and Kattie Garlick and Payton Mansfield; his step-children, William and Mark Nolan; his step-grandson, Sam; and his siblings, Russell (Fran) Mansfield, Howard (Mary) Mansfield, John Mansfield, and Pat Cervantes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Frank A. Mansfield; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Mansfield as an expression of our sympathy.
