SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arline G. Crawford of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on January 7, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was born on September 7, 1924 in
6Oak Park to John and Bessie (nee Kuss) Curran; she graduated
7from the West Suburban College of Nursing in 1946; she married
8Glenn C. Crawford on May 6, 1950 at the Fox River Grove
9Community United Methodist Church; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Arline Crawford worked for 37 years at Memorial
11Hospital in Woodstock (now Centegra Hospital); and
 
12    WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was an active member of First
13Presbyterian Church of Marengo and the McHenry County
14Historical Society and Museum; she enjoyed gardening,
15traveling, and was an accomplished quilter, knitter, and baker;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was preceded in death by her
18husband, Glenn; her parents; and her brother, John Curran; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Arline Crawford is survived by her niece, Doreen
20Quinlan; her great-nieces, Caitlin (Steven) Miller, Bridget

1Ostrowski, and Meghan Quinlan; her great-great-nephews, Curran
2Ostrowski and Liam Miller; and her great-great-niece, Shelby
3Miller; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Arline G. Crawford, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Arline Crawford as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
