SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arline G. Crawford of Crystal Lake, who passed away on January 7, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was born on September 7, 1924 in Oak Park to John and Bessie (nee Kuss) Curran; she graduated from the West Suburban College of Nursing in 1946; she married Glenn C. Crawford on May 6, 1950 at the Fox River Grove Community United Methodist Church; and

WHEREAS, Arline Crawford worked for 37 years at Memorial Hospital in Woodstock (now Centegra Hospital); and

WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Marengo and the McHenry County Historical Society and Museum; she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and was an accomplished quilter, knitter, and baker; and

WHEREAS, Arline Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; and her brother, John Curran; and

WHEREAS, Arline Crawford is survived by her niece, Doreen Quinlan; her great-nieces, Caitlin (Steven) Miller, Bridget Ostrowski, and Meghan Quinlan; her great-great-nephews, Curran Ostrowski and Liam Miller; and her great-great-niece, Shelby Miller; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Arline G. Crawford, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arline Crawford as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
