SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas J. McManus; and

WHEREAS, Thomas McManus retired as the General Superintendent of the City of Chicago Department of Water after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Thomas McManus was a loyal and dedicated member and officer of the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union Local 130 for over 50 years; he retired from Local 130 as a Business Agent; and

WHEREAS, Thomas McManus was the devoted husband of Ginny (nee Dwyer); the loving father of Laura (Louie) Gonzales and Kathleen (Michael) Tierney; the proud grandfather of Tommy Gonzales; the dear brother of Kathleen and the late James McManus; the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice McManus; and the fond uncle of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas J. McManus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas McManus as an expression of our sympathy.
