SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard C. Kazimier of Spring Grove, who
4passed away on November 30, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was born on November 20, 1930 in
6Chicago; his parents were Julian and Irene (nee Anielewski)
7Kazimier; he married Phyllis Haacker on August 20, 1952 in
8Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier served his country as a member of
10the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was employed as a mold maker in
12the tool and die industry and served as a shop foreman for many
13years; he also owned and operated the Lazy K Campground in
14Spring Grove for over 22 years until his retirement; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was a member of the Community
16Church of Richmond, where he served as chairman of the board of
17trustees' he was a 50-year member and past master of Ben Hur
18Lodge #818 and a member of the Scottish Rite; he was also a
19former member and past secretary of the Richmond Rotary Club;

1    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier enjoyed collecting and working
2on Model HO gauge trains, listening to classical and organ
3music, fishing, camping, traveling, and family activities; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was preceded in death by his
5granddaughter, Jennifer Stewart, and his brother, Henry
6Kazimier; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier is survived by his wife of 61
8years, Phyllis; his children, David (Char) Kazimier, Karen
9(Steven Sandberg) Lynn, Philip (Julie) Kazimier, Kenneth
10(Cheryl) Kazimier, and Laura Kazimier; his grandchildren Carl,
11Kevin, Heather, Jason, Patricia, Kathryn, William, Matthew,
12and Sarah; and his great-grandchildren, Kayla and Hannah
13Richard; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
16family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard C. Kazimier;
17and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Richard Kazimier as an expression of
20our sympathy.
