SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Darrell H. Everett of Ringwood, who passed away on October 24, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Darrell Everett was born on May 1, 1933 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Bradford and Dorothy (nee Hadley) Everett; he attended the University of Wyoming for 2 years and then joined the United States Army for 2 years; he then earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing at Bradley University in Peoria, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and President of the Veterans Club; he married Jeannette La Forge on June 21, 1958 at First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Darrell Everett was co-founder of Boxer Rebound Incorporated, a rescue organization for boxers; he was owner of Lucky-K Kennel in Ringwood and enjoyed hunting and showing dogs; and

WHEREAS, Darrell Everett was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Darrell Everett is survived by his wife, Jeannette; his children, Vanessa (Steven) Everett-Kotyza and Brett (the late Kelley) Everett; his grandchildren, Jacob and Cassandra Everett; and his great-grandchild, Bentley Everett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Darrell H. Everett, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Darrell Everett as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
