SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Salvatori A. Lavite of Wood River, who
4passed away on October 2, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Salvatori Lavite was born on July 21, 1936 in Wood
6River to Peter and Angelina (nee Frisina) Lavite; he served his
7country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Salvatori Lavite worked for the Schwartz
9Furniture Store in Wood River as a driver and delivery man for
1029 years before retiring in 1998; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Salvatori Lavite was a member of the Fraternal
12Order of Eagles Aerie #254 and the Wood River Moose Lodge
13#1349; he was also a proud member of Teamsters Local #525 and
14Wood River Labor Local #338; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Salvatori Lavite was preceded in death by his
16parents; his brothers, Jack and Vincent Lavite; and his sister,
17Jacqueline Thomas; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Salvatori Lavite is survived by his sons, Sam A.
19(Dana) Lavite, Michael (Jane) Lavite, Gary Lavite, and Daniel
20Lavite; his daughters, Elizabeth A. Castro and Jennifer Lavite;

1his grandchildren, Matthew, Austin, Sal, Sophia, Jenna, Ryan,
2and Sammy Lavite Jr., Melissa Dale, Maximillian, Morgan,
3Zachary, and Jacob-John Castro, Nicholas Shewmake, and Brian
4Reader; his great-grandchildren, Gavin Lavite and Lauren and
5Lillian Dale; his godson, John "Pugan" Stimac; his brothers,
6Frank (Donna) Lavite, Anthony Lavite, Joseph (Madelyn) Lavite,
7and John (Susie) Lavite; and his former wife, Sue Eisenman;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Salvatori A. Lavite, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Salvatori Lavite as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
