SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Janice Spella of Algonquin, who passed away on September 23, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Janice Spella was born on June 16, 1929 in Elgin; her parents were Carmine and Genevieve (Morretti) Leone; and

WHEREAS, Janice Spella worked as a secretary at Algonquin Middle School in School District 300 for 25 years until her retirement; and

WHEREAS, Janice Spella was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Janice Spella was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Salvatore "Ted" Spella; her parents; her sisters, Ida and Mary; and her brother, Eugene; and

WHEREAS, Janice Spella is survived by her sons, Gene, Steven, John, and Bob; her brother, Sam (Meryldean) Leone; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephanie, and Amy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Janice Spella; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Janice Spella as an expression of our sympathy.
