SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward A. "Doc" Bryant of Cystal Lake, who passed away on September 17, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bryant was born on May 21, 1927 to Edward and Gladys Murray Bryant; he grew up in Pontiac, Michigan and served his country in the United States Coast Guard during World War II; he attended Lake Forest College and the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; he settled in Crystal Lake in 1960; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bryant worked as a physician in the Crystal Lake community for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bryant was preceded in death by his sister, Peg Clark; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bryant is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nina; his children, Curtis, Jeffrey (Lori), Blake (Terri), and Stacy; his grandchildren, Christine, Joshua (Rachel), Tony (Jennifer), Andrew (Brigitte), Elizabeth, and Amanda; and 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward A. "Doc" Bryant, and extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Bryant as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
