SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Joe O'Flaherty; and

WHEREAS, John O'Flaherty was a native of Ardmore, County Waterford, and Kilkerrin and Connemara, County Galway, Ireland; and

WHEREAS, John O'Flaherty was a longtime member of Local No.4, Laborers International Union; and

WHEREAS, John O'Flaherty was the beloved husband of Peggy (nee Mulkerrin); the loving father of Barbara (Kevin) Donnelly, Mary (Patrick) Udelhofen, Patrick (Jennifer) O'Flaherty, Margaret (Michael) Derrig, and John and Martin; the loving grandfather to Fintan, Claire, Fiona, Sarah, Neil, Grace, John, Daniel, Jack, Kelan, Teagan, Peyton, Flynn, Bowie, Killian, and the late Anna Christine; the dear brother of Anthony and the late Mary, Martin, Michael Coleman, Patrick, Bridgie, and Festus; the beloved brother-in-law to Barbara C. Mulkerrin; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Joe O'Flaherty, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John O'Flaherty as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
