SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kathleen "Katie" O'Malley (nee Gibbons), who passed away on July 23, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen O'Malley was a native of Louisburgh, County Mayo, Ireland; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen O'Malley was the cherished wife of the late Richard; the loving mother of the late Richard, Jr., Mary (Stephen) Mulroe, Philomena, Noreen (David) Cottrell, Michael (Patricia), Thomas (Debra), and James (Sharon); the beloved grandmother of Kevin, Brandon, Kathleen, and Sean Mulroe, David Cottrell, Scott, Mary Kate, Allison, Brian, and Patrick O'Malley, John, Matthew, Daniel, and Timothy O'Malley, and Megan, Sara, and Stephen O'Malley; and sister to Davie (the late Eileen) Gibbons; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kathleen "Katie" O'Malley, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kathleen O'Malley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
