SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mildred "Millie" McNicholas (nee Paisley); and

WHEREAS, Mildred McNicholas was raised in Michigan and married Thomas, an avid University of Notre Dame fan; she and her husband always enjoyed the rivalry games between Notre Dame and Michigan State University; and

WHEREAS, Mildred McNicholas loved her family, cooking, and reading; and

WHEREAS, Mildred McNicholas was the devoted wife of the late Thomas; the cherished mother of Peggy, Jack (Eileen), Coleen (Al) Janiszewski, Mary Beth (Ed) Alswede, Michael (Jeanette), and the late Timothy; the adoring grandma of Tom McNicholas, Tim, Dan, Jim, Meghan, and the late Lindsay Janiszewski, and Kelly and Elyse Alswede; and loving aunt and friend to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mildred "Millie" McNicholas, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mildred McNicholas as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
