SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Alan Dayer of Beach Park, who passed away on July 28, 2013; and

WHEREAS, John Dayer was born on April 29, 1938, in Waukegan to John A. and Mildred B. (Shales) Dayer; he lived most of his life in Waukegan and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps; he married Patricia Beyers in Waukegan on February 17, 1996; and

WHEREAS, John Dayer retired in 2004 as Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, John Dayer enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking projects, and fitness activities, especially volleyball; and

WHEREAS, John Dayer was preceded in death by his parents and by his stepson, John Parrish; and

WHEREAS, John Dayer is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Robin, Chris, Mark (Amy), and John; his stepchildren, Jason (Cheryl) Parish and Theron J. Parrish; his siblings, Edward LaMartin, James Dayer, and Penny (John) Hershman; his 10 grandchildren; and his great-grandchild; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Alan Dayer, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Dayer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
