SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Helen Charlotte Hayner; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner was born in 1922 in Titonka, Iowa, to
5Wilbur and Mabel (nee Neuman) Brunson; she moved to Central
6Illinois at age 6; she attended Illinois Wesleyan University in
7Bloomington for her nursing degree; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner worked for a year as a school nurse
9at Illinois State University in Normal and served in the United
10States Army as a nurse from 1944 to 1945; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner moved to Gurnee in 1946 and helped
12operate Neal Mink Ranch until 1968; she also worked for the
13Lake County Lung Association and the Health Department for over
1427 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner enjoyed gardening, attending St.
16Pat's, and was an excellent cook and loving grandma; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner was preceded in death by her parents;
18her brothers, Gene Brunson and Daniel Brunson; her sisters,
19Lois Brunson, Caryl Fox, Wilma Tecumseh; and her best friend,
20Adrienne Neal; and

1    WHEREAS, Helen Hayner is survived by her son, Jim (Nancy)
2Hayner; her grandchildren, Katey (Don) Sroka and Daniel Hayner;
3her sister, Ruth Bloxam; and many nieces and nephews, including
4those from her adopted Neal family; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Helen Charlotte Hayner, and extend our sincere condolences to
8her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Helen Hayner as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
