SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald Joseph Folz of McHenry, who passed away on July 10, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Donald Folz was born on March 8, 1934, in Chicago to Joseph and Anna (nee Benda) Folz; he married Arlys E. Wright in Park Ridge on February 15, 1958; he served his country in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Donald Folz settled in McHenry in 1970; he and his wife owned and operated their own restaurant, Don's Submarine, for 28 years; and

WHEREAS, Donald Folz was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Donald Joseph Folz, Jr. and Verne Dean "Dino" Folz; and

WHEREAS, Donald Folz is survived by his wife of 55 years, Arlys; his son, Ronald E. Folz; his 5 grandchildren; and his brother, Bob (Elizabeth) Smith; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald Joseph Folz, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Folz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
