SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Georgia Helen Adamski of Springfield, who passed away on May 12, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Adamski was born on June 4, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to Mary and George Hodge; she graduated from Lanphier High School; she married William Adamski Jr. on July 14, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Adamski served as the cook at Christian Nursery School and volunteered for many years at Hope Evangelical Free Church and Lake Helen Bible Camp in Wausaukee, Wisconsin; she and her husband were owners and operators of the Morning Star Cafe in Salisbury and she worked there from 1998 to 2012; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Adamski was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening, travel, animals, and cooking and enjoyed family meals and holiday dinners; she was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church until 1978 and then of Hope Evangelical Free Church until 2013; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Adamski is survived by her husband, William; her daughters, Linda J. Painter and Patricia L. Adamski; her sons, Eric W. (Gail) Adamski and Robert J. (Laura) Adamski; her 10 grandchildren; her 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Georgia Adamski, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Georgia Adamski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
