SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Evelyn Bernice Tedrick of Bentonville, Arkansas, formerly of Godfrey, who passed away on May 2, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Tedrick was the daughter of William and Faye Southard of Wanda; she was a lifelong resident of the Alton area prior to her relocation to Bentonville, Arkansas in 2007; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Tedrick was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Albrecht Chevrolet and Tedrick Pontiac of Wood River; she later finished her career working at Marcal Asphalt and Paving in Alton for 18 years; after her retirement, she loved to volunteer at Alton Memorial Hospital and Beverly Farms Gift Shop; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Tedrick was a lifelong member of St. John United Church of Christ in Wood River; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Tedrick was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Leroy "Roy" Tedrick; her parents; and her sister, Shirley Budde; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Tedrick is survived by her sons and their families, Gary and LeeAnn Tedrick and Clark and Casey Tedrick; her grandchildren, James and Jennifer Schulz, Christopher and Kelly Tedrick, Scott Tedrick, and Laura Tedrick; and her great-grandchildren, Truman and Ellie Schulz and Olivia and Nora Tedrick; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Evelyn Bernice Tedrick; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Evelyn Tedrick as an expression of our sympathy.
