SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph A. Barron Jr. of Granite City, who passed away on March 27, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Barron Jr. was born on April 17, 1939, in East St. Louis, to Jose A. and Ramona (nee Bernal-Rivera) Barron Sr.; he married Mary L. Ortiz on November 7, 1959, in Fairmont City; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Barron Jr. owned and operated Employer Services Company in the metro East St. Louis area for over 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Barron Jr. was of the Catholic faith and a past president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Barron Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Hector and Marcos Barron; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Barron Jr. is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Linda M. Barron; his sons, Joseph A. (Kathy) Barron III, David A. Barron, Phillip A. Barron, James A. (Briget) Barron, and Mark A. Barron; his grandchildren, Joseph James Barron and Suzanne Rich; his great-grandson, Jak Buckingham; his brother, Carlos (Shirley) Barron; his sisters, Marie Dolores Barron Johnson, Elvira Barron, and Diana Barron; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Joseph Barron Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Barron Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
