| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Ruth Hurley Cullicott of River | 4 | | Forest, who passed away on September 3, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ruth Cullicott was born on August 31, 1911 in | 6 | | Oak Park; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ruth Cullicott was a graduate of Ascension | 8 | | Elementary School, Trinity High School, and Rosary College of | 9 | | Arts and Sciences; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her life, Mary Ruth Cullicott served | 11 | | her church and community; she was an active member of St. Luke | 12 | | Parish in River Forest for 43 years; she donated her time and | 13 | | energy to Oak Park Hospital, where she was the longest-serving | 14 | | volunteer for 45 years, and was involved in Misericordia, | 15 | | Trinity High School, and the Oak Park and River Forest Infant | 16 | | Welfare Society; in recent years, she spent her time knitting | 17 | | scarves, lap blankets, and baby blankets for the homeless and | 18 | | various other charities; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ruth Cullicott was preceded in death by a | 20 | | daughter, Ann (Larry) Martin; her first husband, Neil C. | 21 | | Hurley; and her second husband, George E. Cullicott; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ruth Cullicott is survived by 2 children, | 2 | | Honey (George) Gfroerer and Molly (Richard "Whitey") King; and | 3 | | her many step-children, grandchildren, and | 4 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 7 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary Ruth Hurley | 8 | | Cullicott; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Mary Ruth Cullicott as an expression | 11 | | of our sympathy.
