SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jerome F. Dunne of Oak Park, who passed away on September 16, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne was born on October 19, 1933 in Berwyn; his parents were Robert and Mary Dunne; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne was a graduate of Ascension Catholic School, Fenwick High School, and Loyola University, where he earned a degree in accounting and business; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne served his country as a member of the United States Army; he was stationed in Alaska in the 1950s; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne worked for the Sanford Ink Company for many years until his retirement in 1994; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne was known as the world's biggest White Sox fan; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings, Dolores, Robert (Jane), and Paul Dunne; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Dunne is survived by a brother, Richard "Dick", and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Jerome F. Dunne; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerome Dunne as an expression of our sympathy.
