SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Leona M. Ream of Ingleside, who passed away on October 25, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Leona Ream was born on March 1, 1923 in Grand Haven, Michigan to George and Sophia (nee Olhara) Michal; and

WHEREAS, Leona Ream was a registered beauty culture teacher in her early years; and

WHEREAS, Leona Ream loved to help anyone in need; she enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends on every 1st Thursday of the month for the past 15 years and cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Leona Ream was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Walter J. Ream, Jr.; her son, Walter J. Ream, III; and her grandson, Justin Ream; and

WHEREAS, Leona Ream is survived by her children, MaryLee Vales and Scott (Carol) Ream; her grandchildren, Desiree Hajduk, Shelley (David) Bauer, and Darin Vales; and her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kaleb, Colton, and Skye; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Leona M. Ream, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Leona Ream as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
