SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George J. Wolf of Marengo, who passed away on October 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, George Wolf was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 24, 1918 to Anton and Margaret (nee Mundel) Wolf; he married Doloris Schildgen on October 3, 1959 at Sacred Heart Parish in Marengo; and

WHEREAS, George Wolf retired from Dean Foods in Chemung after 33 years of service; and

WHEREAS, George Wolf was a former member of the Harvard Moose Lodge No. 1289 and enjoyed golfing with friends, bowling, and coaching the Indians in the Marengo-Union Little League baseball program; and

WHEREAS, George Wolf was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eileen Shields; an infant daughter, Marcelyn Ann; his sister, Mary Jo Johnson; and his brother, Charles; and

WHEREAS, George Wolf is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doloris; 4 children, George (Sandy) Wolf, Eileen Wolf, Teresa (Todd) Gray, and Christopher Wolf; and 3 grandchildren, Brittany Wolf and Elizabeth and Alexandra Gray; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of George J. Wolf, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Wolf as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
