SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucy W. Wallace of Marengo, who passed away on October 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was born on April 28, 1925 in Belvidere; her parents were Nicholas and Agnes (nee Anderson) West; she married Charles W. Wallace on August 21, 1947 in the Old Stone Church in Rockton; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace attended Marengo schools and Lake Forest College; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace worked as a legal secretary in the law department of the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in Chicago; she later worked for a law firm in Elgin; she also worked at the Wallace Insurance Agency in Marengo for many years; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marengo; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace enjoyed taking many trips throughout the United States with her husband; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; and

WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace is survived by a daughter, Patricia Wallace; 3 nephews, James (Sandy) Carmichael, Chuck (Barbara) Carmichael, and Greg Carmichael; a niece, Jane Montgomery; and several great-nephews and great-nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Lucy W. Wallace; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucy Wallace as an expression of our sympathy.
