SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Susanne M. Riley of McHenry, who passed away on October 5, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Susanne Riley was born in Chicago on June 29, 1945 to George and Lunna Mae (nee Goll) Schauer; she married John Riley on September 2, 1967 at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Villa Park; and

WHEREAS, Susanne Riley worked as a financial advisor for Wells Fargo for 17 years; and

WHEREAS, Susanne Riley enjoyed cooking, quilting, exercising at the gym, taking trips to Door County, and spending winters in Florida; and

WHEREAS, Susanne Riley was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Schauer; and

WHEREAS, Susanne Riley is survived by her husband, John; her children, Carol (Patrick) Scholl and John Riley; her grandchildren, Amanda (Chase) McNitt, Robert Scholl, Thomas (Tina) Scholl, Luke Scholl, Sara (Tyler) Davis, Jack, Rachel, Olivia, Josie, James, Frank and Sam Scholl, and Patrick and Michael Riley; and great-grandchildren, Hayden and Toby Scholl; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Susanne M. Riley, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Susanne Riley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
