SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard H. Witting of McHenry, who passed away on September 10, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Richard Witting was born on May 13, 1923, in Marquette, Michigan; his parents were Richard F. and Lydia (nee Chantelois) Witting; and

WHEREAS, Richard Witting was a graduate engineer and worked as a plant supervisor for many years; he also served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard; and

WHEREAS, Richard Witting was a member of St. Patrick's Church; and

WHEREAS, Richard Witting was preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta Elizabeth "Birdie" Witting; and

WHEREAS, Richard Witting is survived by his wife, Angela Witting; 2 sons, Richard R. Witting and Dennis Witting; 2 step-daughters, Patricia Ann Dumong and Cecilia Bermudez; 2 step-grandchildren, Angelica and Raymond Hornbower; and his caregiver and friend, Virginia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard H. Witting; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Witting as an expression of our sympathy.
