SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of R. Geoffrey "Geoff" Weldon of Crystal Lake, who passed away on July 3, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Geoff Weldon was born in New Haven, Connecticut on January 31, 1960 to Richard and Stephanie Weldon; he was raised in New Jersey, where he attended Montgomery High School; he graduated from Colgate University in 1982; he married Jill Eltzholtz in 1990 and they lived the majority of their life together in the Crystal Lake area; and

WHEREAS, Geoff Weldon was Vice-President of Sales for Aptar Beauty and Home, where he worked for 29 years alongside his twin brother and best friend, Gregory; and

WHEREAS, Geoff Weldon enjoyed traveling, the beach, music, and football Sundays; and

WHEREAS, Geoff Weldon was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Weldon; and

WHEREAS, Geoff Weldon is survived by his wife, Jill; his children, Logan and Spencer; his twin brother, Gregory; his sister, Malinda Strauss; his parents, Richard and Stephanie Weldon; and his nieces and nephews, Gregory, Tyler, Connor, Mackenzie, Courtney, Carleigh, and Jaime; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of R. Geoffrey "Geoff" Weldon, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Geoff Weldon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
