SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elizabeth M. Hoem of Waukegan, who passed away on July 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was born on May 23, 1925 in Lake Villa; she was a resident of Waukegan for most of her life; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem worked at A & P for over 30 years until her retirement; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was named Volunteer of the Year at Vista Medical Center, where she had worked as a volunteer for 18 years; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was an avid traveler; she visited many countries and particularly loved to travel with her beloved family; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Antoinette Grenus; her husband, John C. Hoem; a daughter, Candy Jo Swosinski; a son-in-law, Gregory Swosinski; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem is survived by a daughter, Susan S. (Daniel M.) Henry; a grandson, Anthony (Emmy) Henry; a granddaughter, Rachel (Brian) Elliott; 4 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Annika, and Samuel; and a sister, Bertha Cook; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Elizabeth M. Hoem; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elizabeth Hoem as an expression of our sympathy.
