SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Roman F. "Ray" Stygar of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on June 28, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar was born on July 28, 1922 in Chicago;
6his parents were John and Sophia Stygar; he married Rita Marie
7Faucher on October 8, 1949; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar served his country as a member of the
9United States Coast Guard from 1942 until 1946 and was a
10recipient of a Purple Heart; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar worked as a machinist for 31 years at
12General Dynamics and for 7 1/2 years at Ford until his
13retirement; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar was a member and a former Grand
15Knight of the Wonder Lake Christ The King Knights of Columbus;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar was preceded in death by his parents;
18his wife, Rita; 4 sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Roman Stygar is survived by 10 nieces and nephews,

1Ed (Nancy) Stygar, Richard (the late Renee) Stygar, Jimmy
2Weimeyer, Tim Styger, Thomas (Jean) Zolik, George Weimeyer,
3David Michellotto, Anthony Michellotto, and Margaret and
4Joanna Weimeyer; 6 great-nephews, Thomas (Rose) Stygar, Edward
5III (Sheila) Stygar, Randall (Michelle) Stygar, Anthony
6Stygar, Richard Stygar, and Timothy (Janet) Stygar; 3
7great-nieces, Barbara (David) Doak, Joanne Rordeau, and
8Michelle (Bill) Mandich; and a sister-in-law, Susan (Leo)
9Michellotto; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Roman F. "Ray" Stygar;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Roman Stygar as an expression of our
16sympathy.
