SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ralph Joseph Sprott of Waukegan, who passed away on June 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Sprott was born in Waukegan on February 26, 1970 to Ralph and Irene Sprott; he attended North Chicago public schools and graduated from North Chicago Community High School in 1988; he attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, where he earned both his undergraduate degree and Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Sprott received his license to practice as a speech and language pathologist in July of 2001; he worked for school districts in the McHenry and Kane County areas, including schools in Algonquin and Huntly; he then worked for ProCare as a speech pathologist, serving in this capacity at North Chicago Community High School and Neal Jr. High School; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Sprott was a member of the Waukegan Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi-Fraternity Incorporated, and served as the Strategus; he was also a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church since 2013; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Sprott is survived by his parents, Ralph and Irene Sprott; sister, Vickey Wells; fiance, Patricia Wade, and her daughters, Trynity and Tystin Wade, as well as her mother, Elder Lillian Poole and her sister Deborah Farris, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Ahmad Qawi, James Stoval, Donell Foster, and James Morris; and his childhood friends and fellow classmates, affectionately known as, The Sophisticated Gents; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ralph Joseph Sprott, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph Sprott as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
