SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Ruth Girardi of Wadsworth, who passed away on June 13, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Girardi was born on June 18, 1927 to Ruth (nee Lawson) and Joseph Busch; she graduated from Waukegan High School; she married Albert, a World War II United States Army veteran and survivor of the D-Day invasion and European campaign; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Girardi worked for Sears Roebuck and Company and the Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Waukegan; she retired after 30 years as a purchasing agent for the Johns-Manville Corporation in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Girardi and her family were dedicated members of St. Anastasia Church; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Girardi had 4 children, Kathleen (Ron) Kuziel, Tom (Diane) Girardi, John, and Susan (Dave) Early; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia Ruth Girardi, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Girardi as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
