SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucille H. Becker of Fox Lake, who passed away on June 16, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker was born on October 24, 1916 in Chicago; her parents were Victor and Charlotte (nee Dargatz) Sonntag; prior to living in Fox Lake, she was a resident of Hudson, Florida and Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker and her husband met in church when she was 16; together, they enjoyed their vegetable and flower garden and their time spent in Florida; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker was a former member of the Fox Lake Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edwin J. Becker, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Becker is survived by 3 loving children, Edwin (Karen) Becker, Jr., Richard (Carol) Becker, and David (Cheryl) Becker; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Lucille H. Becker; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucille Becker as an expression of our sympathy.
