SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald "Duck" Vest of Harvard, who passed
4away on June 24, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Vest was born on December 31, 1956 in
6Harvard; his parents were Gene A. and June M. (nee Collins)
7Vest; he married Carol Lynn Reuter on October 26, 1991 in
8Crystal Lake; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Vest was employed at Dean Foods for 26
10years and worked as a locksmith since 1991; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Vest was a volunteer fireman in Harvard for
1210 years; he was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in
13Harvard and was a little league baseball coach; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Donald Vest was an avid Chicago Bears fan and
15enjoyed watching baseball, football, and pro and college
16basketball; he also enjoyed playing cards, golf, bowling, and
17spending time with his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Vest was preceded in death by his father; a
19brother, Mickey Vest; 3 uncles, Bobbie, Eddie, and Dale
20Collins; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his

1father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Mary Anderson; a
2brother-in-law, Randy Reuter; and 2 sister-in-laws, Cathy
3Reuter and Mary Williams; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Donald Vest is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn
5Vest; his son, Matthew (Jessica Wiegel) Reuter; his mother,
6June Vest; 4 sisters, Debbie (Ken) Morris, Ruthann (Bob Camren)
7Vest, Nancy (David) Vermett, and Barb (Rich) Braun; a brother,
8Terry McEnenany; several aunts and uncles; and many nieces and
9nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald "Duck" Vest;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Donald Vest as an expression of our
16sympathy.
