SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley Wade Franklin, Jr., who passed away on June 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Franklin, Jr. was born on May 19, 1989 in Belleville; his parents were Stanley and Ronda Franklin; he was baptized at an early age at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Centreville; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Franklin, Jr. graduated from A.M. Jackson Elementary School and East St. Louis Senior High School in East St. Louis; he subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Franklin, Jr. is survived by his parents; his sisters, Aisha (Al) Keeler and Jameelah Franklin; his brothers, Dakari Franklin and Amani Franklin; his grandfather, Oscar Brookins; his nephew, Jayvyn Nelson; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Stanley Wade Franklin, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stanley Franklin, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
