SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Virginia L. Benson of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Benson was born on August 2, 1940 in Winthrop Harbor; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Benson traveled around and lived in various places, including the Zion area and Paddock Lake since 2007, after moving there from Neosho, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Benson was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Humphrey; 2 brothers, Tom Goodwin and Richard "Duke" Goodwin; and her parents, Charles and Frances Goodwin; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Benson is survived by 3 sons, Donald Mark (Rita) Hewkin, David Shaun Hewkin, and Duane Scott Hewkin; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Charlie (Mary) Goodwin and Howard (Kathy) Goodwin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Virginia L. Benson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Virginia Benson as an expression of our sympathy.
