SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Diane Andrea Carlson of Waukegan, who passed away on May 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was born on March 30, 1949 in Chicago; her parents were Burton W. and Virgina V. (nee Valentine) Carlson; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from college and obtaining her master's degree, Diane Carlson became a teacher at St. Anastasia School, teaching various grades for 19 years; she also served as a reading instructor in the Waukegan School District; and

WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was an avid dog lover; and

WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Diane Carlson is survived by 2 brothers, Wayne (Cynthia) and Douglas (Mari) Carlson; 2 nephews, Andrew (Jennifer) and Adam (Jennifer) Carlson; a great-niece, McKayla Carlson; and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Diane Andrea Carlson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Diane Carlson as an expression of our sympathy.
