SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Monica A. Salemi of Spring Grove, who passed away on April 20, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was born in Chicago on September 17, 1954 to Louis and Rita (nee Ronkowski) Borowski; she married Steven A. Salemi in Chicago on January 3, 1975; and

WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was the former owner of Cooper Kiddie College in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in McHenry; she was a wonderful cook and enjoyed fishing, swimming, spending time with family, and spending summers at Woodruff, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was preceded in death by her father, Louis, and a sister, Laura; and

WHEREAS, Monica Salemi is survived by her husband of 39 years, Steven; 3 children, Ann Nicole (Jason) Dyer-Salemi, Laura Salemi, and Matthew Salemi; a grandchild, Gianna Rae; her mother, Rita (the late Kenneth) Jeschke; and a brother, Louis (Stacey) Borowski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Monica A. Salemi, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Monica Salemi as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
