SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Helen Roberta Book of McHenry, who passed away on March 24, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Helen Book was born in Eddyville, Kentucky on September 7, 1920 to Bert L. and Carrie Adele (nee Oliver) Gray; and

WHEREAS, Helen Book worked for Guardian Electric in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Helen Book was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary Post 5040 in Woodstock for over 30 years; she enjoyed country music, flowers, feeding birds and squirrels, and feeding her family; and

WHEREAS, Helen Book was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, Russell Gibson and Howard "Bill" Book; 2 daughters, Kathy Lynn Greene and Cindy Lee Anderson; a grandson, Travis Lee Greene; and her 8 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Helen Book is survived by her husband, Henry Mittermayer; a son, Robert R. Gibson; a daughter, Brenda J. (Henry) Kuczynski; her grandchildren, Russell, Ronald, Rhonda, Roxanne, Sherrie, Joyce, Denise, Diana, and Vanessa; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Helen Roberta Book, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Helen Book as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
