SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles A. Ullrich of Bristol, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ullrich was born on March 19, 1938 in Waukegan to Otto "Hub" and Josephine (nee Kische) Ullrich; he grew up in the Diamond Lake area of Mundelein; he attended Loras College and earned his law degree from Marquette University in 1963; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ullrich worked as a Lake County Assistant States Attorney before joining the law firm of John Green & Associates until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ullrich was a dedicated fan of Marquette University basketball and the Chicago Bulls; he enjoyed playing racquetball, spending winters in the Florida Keys, and working outdoors at his home; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ullrich was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Starkey; and brother, James; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ullrich is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Yopp); sisters, Grace VanLanduyt, Rose Kinnebrew, and Margaret (Marvin) Kiefer; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles A. Ullrich, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Ullrich as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
