SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John (Larry) Donohue of Waukegan, who passed away on February 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, John Donohue was born on September 14, 1927, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, John Donohue served his country as a member of the United States Armed Forces during World War II; and

WHEREAS, John Donohue was employed at US Steel and retired from California Hardware; and

WHEREAS, John Donohue was an avid original Chicago Cardinal fan; he also enjoyed golfing, billiards, and traveling throughout the country; and

WHEREAS, John Donohue is survived by his children, David Donohue and Joan (James) Quinn; his grandchildren, McKenna Gomez, Nicholas, and Karlee Rose; his great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Elizabeth Gomez; his brothers, Michael, Thomas, and Howard; his sisters, Janet Basten, Rosalie Henry, Marllee Singer, and Sharon McFarland; and his many beloved nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Jennifer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of John (Larry) Donohue; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Donohue as an expression of our sympathy.
